SSRD™ is a rare earth magnet-free motor with aluminium compressed coils to deliver ultra-high performance and efficiency, and offer a uniquely recyclable solution at the end of life. Controlled by AEM’s patented inverter technology, SSRD is a direct replacement for permanent magnet motors.

SSRD™
SSRD is a next-generation motor designed for passenger cars with integrated motors, power electronics and transmission to meet 2035 performance targets today. We designed our high performance SSRD to deliver market-leading performance in a cost-effective, lightweight and robust design.
It delivers sustainability for passenger cars by enabling a lower-cost electric powertrain system solution without the need for rare earth magnets or copper coils, making it fully recyclable.
